Handover: Design input
Collect the buyer’s material grade, round or square section, outside dimensions, wall thickness in millimetres, centre-line or inside radius, bend angles, straight lengths, plane relationships, quantity, destination and requested delivery window. State whether the cell is CNC electric, CNC hydraulic-hybrid or a hydraulic tube bending machine, because actuator type changes cycle time, maintenance and spare-parts lists. If a long tube cannot ship for a trial, write that limit into the RFQ instead of substituting a short coupon without comment. Work envelope, three-phase supply, compressed air demand, cooling water and PLC interface names already on site belong in the same brief.
Supplier answer
Each factory should return which mandrel, wiper and clamp tooling is supplied for each part family, which extra radii sit inside the price, and how wrinkling, thinning and angular accuracy in degrees will be checked on the actual drawing. Ask them to restate positioning tolerance against the named section, not against a generic “tube” row. Installation, shipping, operator training, FAT attendance and SAT attendance must be tagged included or excluded. A brochure diameter that omits wall thickness is not an installed capability promise.
