square tube bending machine

A square tube bending machine inquiry is not interchangeable with a round-tube brief. Corner radius, face distortion, clamp-die width and loading clearance change how tooling and the work envelope should be described. Tube Bending Machine Sourcing maps those application facts onto the same RFQ envelope used for dedicated tube bending equipment. We do not promise a transferable diameter rating from a round-tube datasheet, and we do not treat press brakes as a substitute landing page.

Line interfaces

Operating context
Typical US metalworking cells present cut square tube, load it into the bender, execute programmed planes, then move the formed part toward welding, machining or packing. Upstream saws and downstream fixtures sit outside the bender frame unless a bidder explicitly includes them.

Line interfaces: Design input

Name outside width and height, wall thickness in millimetres, inside corner radius of the mill tube, permitted face concavity after the bend, CLR, incoming length and whether the long leg must clear the machine during later planes. State parts per hour only with those conditions attached. If several SKUs share the cell, list each section and whether a changeover uses the same clamp die or a second stack. Representative production samples, including the actual mill corner, should be identified for any trial.

Supplier answer

Ask the factory to restate clamp-die contact, wiper support and mandrel shape against the named square section, not against a round-tube diameter row. Confirm which corner geometry and face-distortion limits they will record, and how a long tube is loaded without hitting the pressure die. If a saw or fixture handshake is required, that interface should be marked included, excluded or buyer-supplied. PLC interface language and program transfer belong on the same answer sheet.

Attach square-section notes before comparing application quotes

Corner geometry and permitted face distortion belong in the first message. A round-tube sketch will not expose clamp-die or loading problems on square stock.
